Council Meetings are generally held on the second and fourth Tuesday of every month commencing at 7:00 pm in the Council Chambers at 1 Benerembah Street, Griffith and will be live streamed on Council's Facebook page.

Members of the Public Attending a Meeting
Council Meetings are conducted in accordance with the Code of Meeting Practice.
Members of the public may attend Council Meetings in person at 1 Benerembah Street, Griffith. Council Meetings are also available to view live on Council's Facebook page.
Please note that comments on Facebook made by members of the public during the meeting will be moderated.
The livestream will be stopped during Closed Council (confidential section) and recommenced after Open Council resumes.
The audio recording of the Council Meeting will be placed on Council’s website the following day and the audio visual recording will be available to view on Facebook for a limited time.
Members of the public attending a Council Meeting are advised that their image / voice may be webcast. Attendance at the Council Meeting is to be taken as consent to your image / voice being webcast.

Members of the Public Addressing a Meeting
In accordance with Council’s Code of Meeting Practice, public addresses to Council Meetings must be in respect to matters listed on the meeting agenda only.
Members of the public can address a Council Meeting through the following options:
- Attend the Council Meeting in person at the Council Chambers
- Attend the Council Meeting Via Zoom Audio Visual Conferencing
- Submit comments to be read aloud at the Meeting in writing.
Applications to address a Council Meeting must be received by 12 noon on the day of the Meeting. Applications are to be approved by the Mayor.

Members of the public addressing a Council Meeting are advised that the meeting will be livestreamed and recorded for on-demand viewing via Council's website and your image / voice may be broadcast. Attendance at the Council Meeting is to be taken as consent to your image and or voice being webcast. Speakers should refrain from making any defamatory comments or releasing any personal information about another individual without their consent. Council accepts no liability for any damage that may result from defamatory comments made by persons attending meetings - all liability will rest with the individual who made the comments. Speakers must limit their address to Council to a maximum of 5 minutes.

Audio Recording
Audio broadcast version of Griffith City Council Meetings
Griffith City Council Meetings may be broadcast via local media and an audio version of the Council Meeting is available on the Council website which can be listened to on a mobile device or PC.
Recordings of Council Meetings cannot be copied, recorded, reproduced, reused or transmitted without the prior written consent of the Council.
Audio recordings of Council Meetings will remain on Council's webpage for at least 12 months.
