Lake Wyangan Foreshore Set For A Major Glow-up

Griffith City Council will soon commence the significant transformation of the recreational area at Lake Wyangan, with residents urged to provide feedback.Initially recommended by the Lake Wyangan and Catchment Committee, the Master Plan was officially adopted by Council following extensive public consultation.
Stage 1 of the Lake Wyangan Foreshore Master Plan will see several upgrades, including:
- A new inclusive play space for children of all abilities
- Sediment retention at the north-western drain
- Earthworks and landscaping to enhance the natural environment
- Installation of a new irrigation system
- Improved water supply infrastructure
- Construction of a modern toilet block
- Additional picnic furniture for visitors
- Enhanced signage around the foreshore
- Wednesday, 9 and Thursday, 10 October, 5pm - 7pm at the Griffith City Library
- Friday, 11 October, 4pm - 6pm at the Apex Shelter, Lake Wyangan Picnic Area
Residents are encouraged to attend the consultation sessions and share their thoughts on the inclusive play space for the Lake Wyangan foreshore.
