Gerard Brown: Carrathool Races

Local artist Gerard Brown draws inspiration for his body of work from his life experience as a farmer, as well as his time spent facilitating life drawing sessions for artists. Having bred and trained racehorses, his portrayal of the horses and race-goers of the legendary race meeting at Carrathool shows this sport of Kings and Queens contrasting against the treeless landscape of the plains of the region.
